RAYGUNSUE UPDATES

Not much to report, but I did start up Spinster! What that means is that I have an index page, an introduction, detailed sections, a site map in the footer ... so exactly one page of actual content, haha. Ah well. THAT'S HOW IT STARTS, RIGHT?

I finally updated my main collective, raygunsueORG, with a fresh layout. Naturally, because "complete" to me begins at good enough, there are a few issues: it is mobile unfriendly; the navigation doesn't behave exactly as I'd like. Beyond that, I'm happy with the change, and I think it will satisfy me to have this sit for the coming few months. I'm about to be a full-time student in web development, and though working on this project would certainly count as the correct domain for that skillset, I'm not sure what time I will have for hobby sites.

So I'm happy to have produced something that shows what I'm capable of at the present, because I hope to blow it away in six months. Plus, I think it matches my sensibility and style, and though there's some kind of 'polish' I feel all my sites lack, I think this is a nice sample of my design preferences currently. I'm wondering how they will change, the more I learn.

Added the lovely Janna to FAVE's directory.

Have been trying to cook up an RGS collective layout update. Unfortunately it involves some big javascript dreams. We'll see.

On October 15, I finished my Jodariel fanlisting and eventual shrine, Perdure. I'm pleased overall with the result! It was my first time messing around with parallax scrolling.

On 10/29, I finished Fave, a directory where folks can submit their favorite shrine of their own making. It's a bit of a kooky concept, but I'm hoping people do join!

This means that I've crossed some things off, and have some other things to think about. I'm going to join an intensive boot camp starting in December, so I need to carefully consider end of year goals with the understanding that I effectively have this upcoming month.

It hasn't been a terribly productive fall, in the sense pertaining to my webdesign presence. That said: I've finished my fanlisting to Slime Rancher, Plort!

It took a surprising amount of gumption to sit down and get to it. My professional life is undergoing renovation, in the sense that I've walked from one job and may soon be a full time coding student. We'll see, but the change, and the attendant pressures, have left me with a small reservoir for this sort of work, quite regrettably.

Finished the Zarya revamp I'd been meaning to do ... since I made the first layout, essentially.

Took the liberty of applying for two additional fanlistings, for the game character Jodariel of Pyre and for the game Slime Rancher. Both are recent releases, so not expecting any news soon. This might be a collective yet!

Have a strong sense of the layout I'd like to do for FAVE and SUBTITLE, which is exciting. I hope to bang those out next weekend.

Hokay. I'm not 100% happy with the way it turned out, but I have produced a perfectly serviceable layout for my fanlisting collective, which is effectively a shout-out to Zarya and then a list of what I've joined.

This has moved one item off the backburner to the front burner. Additionally, I did several mini edits to my new layout, as prompted by notes by Masao and Crystal.

I had big dreams of doing further things tonight, but I think I'll goof off instead!

I updated my domain collective with a fresh layout, inspired by the Flower Garden Layout Marathon at the Rose Keep, specifically the keyword regarding a fresh start.
